big slide at strawberry creek park
We visited our old favorite, Strawberry Creek park in Berkeley recently. We excitedly climbed up and slid no less than fifteen times. It has a playground also but the slide is definitely worth the visit. ^_^
See our other big slide pics here and here when Emma was really little.
lately, in photos
Ah November. Its colder, rainier and shares the most beautiful light before all is dark again. I am forever eating soups, sipping tea and eating my weight in toasted bread to keep warm. This winter the couch and blankets will gets lots of love. We have been watching some interesting new shows like the Detectorists and Scorpion and enjoying old favorites like Elementary and Agents of Shield. Also there is another new show that is really great if you can get past the title. ^_^
renegade holiday market
We took the ferry to San Francisco and walked over to Fort Mason for the Renegade Holiday Market last weekend. Emma Clover got a fancy wooden camera from Twig Creative and when I borrowed it to sport as a fun neck wear received loads of compliments. We took great pretend (and some real) pictures of the sunset, posed for the Magnolia photo booth and ended the afternoon walking over an enormous hill to Japantown. ^_^
a new photo book
I made a book to catalog pictures for Emma that tell a story about her origins. I had a bunch of old scanned photos that I wasn’t sure would print well but it really worked out. I do not keep photo albums and have many hundreds of photos in hard drives. My solution has been to create these simple books for Emma using Mixbook (they are about $30 each). She loves her previous books made with Instagram pictures that illustrate the days we have shared since I started staying home with her. This new one includes photos of me pregnant and her as a baby that we have yet to print. Needless to say the last pages of the book that include the photos of Emma are her favorite.
