On Wednesday we walked down Virginia in Berkeley on our way to Emma’s class and decided to go and see if the whale mural was still there. Turns out there is a lot foliage growing all around the sea animals painted on the wall but we decided to take a picture with the whale to recreate this one that I took back in 2013. It is so very adorable to me and I am happy that Emma played along.
On our last day in Los Angeles Emma Clover decided to match me. She was tickled by it and I gave in since we were traveling and then it looked like we went together.
It was definitely a perfect trip to visit family. We went to the beach twice, collected shells and playing dominoes with Grandma.
We ate at the Blue Butterfly, watched Mary Poppins and got ice cream cones.
We stayed with aunt Elayne and uncle John (my siblings) and ate yummy breakfasts of peanut butter toast and strong coffee, which is my favorite thing.
We went to Stephanie and Justin’s wedding and spent lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa just hanging out and eating out a lot. 🙂
until next time….
We went to Abalone Cove when visiting family in Los Angeles. It was so beautiful and the perfect temperature along the coast.
The tidepools are so neat to explore and there was a part where we could walk into a pool that was warm and full of sea life.
Our last visit was in 2015 and I apparently had a much better camera. 🙂
I ordered the Early Riser Companion book in the winter (through a Kickstarter project) and it arrived at the end of July. I was so glad to receive it a week before my birthday.
We visited the Tail of the Yak and I got some pretty fabric trim. I also bought myself some straw flowers.
Clover made this garland from ribbons she had and her and maiki bought me yummy shortbread cookies, both Walkers and Miette. It all felt so special.
