renegade holiday market

holiday

We took the ferry to San Francisco and walked over to Fort Mason for the Renegade Holiday Market last weekend. Emma Clover got a fancy wooden camera from Twig Creative and when I borrowed it to sport as a fun neck wear received loads of compliments. We took great pretend (and some real) pictures of the sunset, posed for the Magnolia photo booth and ended the afternoon walking over an enormous hill to Japantown. ^_^

This was the coolest thing that I saw at the Renegade Craft Fair this past weekend.

Created by Joe Wirtheim, this piece is part of a self-commissioned project. The posters are designed to inspire and his work is committed to civic innovation and social progress—better food, better gardens, better cities. Visit his site at the Victory Garden of Tomorrow and Etsy shop to see more.

weekend in photos

This was a fabulous weekend for me. Saturday we went to the Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco. I cannot wait to post our crazy fun/silly pictures from the Magnolia Photo Booth. I bought a zip up hoodie from R&L/chickabird and some small fun items.

Sunday I went to Castle in the Air and picked up some new colorful inks for calligraphy practice. I bought an alphabet from Linea Carta at the fair and was all ready to jump back into my calligraphy practice. I wrote up a bunch of thank you notes at Local 123 and sipped a delicious mocha. The rain did not keep me from enjoying every second of my weekend. ^_^

renegade craft fair

So the Renegade Craft Fair was super awesome. Since we had just returned from vacation and I had bought myself lots of birthday presents I really tried to show restraint at the craft fair. It was tough but I decided on a few perfect items with my big splurge being issues 3-6 of Uppercase magazine. I also got a canvas bag from Dutch Door Press and a string a colorful paper garland.

maiki bought a gorgeous notebook cover and lots of other notebooks too. The weather was actually perfect and we love walking to Fort Mason from the BART station. I had some of the best food ever that day as well: japanese curry from Delica, meyer lemony lemon cupcake from Kara’s Cupcakes and cold tofu and a glass of Humanitas cabernet from Bushi Tei Bistro. It really was a perfect day.
