Wes Anderson makes my favorite movies. Last night I was feeling a little bummed out so I watched Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and after felt much better! This video is a must see whenever because Sigur Ros makes beautiful music.

internet travels
Thoughts drifting towards travel and new experiences. I really want to visit snow this winter. I am fortunate however that the internets provide a unique tour of the world through which I can enjoy from my living room in Berkeley. ^_^

novembers: a look back
2007
We all just moved to Berkeley and lived in Cloud Ninth. It was fun times. I loved to ride my bicycle along the Bay Trail and see the birds at the Aquatic Park. Together we played Quiddler and Magic the Gathering.
2008
Still at C9th this year and having fun exploring the Bay Area. I was going to SF for school and maiki to San Jose to visit SVBC. We had a projector and watched a ton of media.
2009
We had moved to Highwind and it was a cold and drafty house! We drank a lot to keep warm. maiki figured out how to make fantastic hot toddies. I worked at the Bread Workshop and practiced calligraphy. In Japantown, Bushi Tei Bistro opened and maiki and I enjoyed Humanitas Cabernet and Sake flights.

After ten years as a still life photographer, Maggie Taylor started using the computer in 1996 to manipulate her photos to create a new kind of artistic work. Her pieces are rich with texture and I am drawn to the surreal look they achieve. Absolutely love her collection “Almost Alice-New Illustrations of Wonderland.”
