Sometimes photography can really give me goosebumps. Most photographers that Brian Ferry post about do that to me. One of my currents favorites is Anna Gawlak, but I found her site through Miss Moss. Most of my feeds are photo blogs but mostly just interiors and the like.

On a side note, I have been loving on lemons lately. Lemon with everything! Helps that we have a lemon tree in our yard. Even painted our little lemon tree with watercolors the other day. Its looks nice hanging in the cottage window.

pinic

I think that Emma’s favorite thing is to eat outside. On the go, in her stroller, but especially at the park. Lately she is more interested in the kids eating than the kids playing. She has been known to grab food right out of their hands or bag. She watches kids playing on the playground while while searching for a tangerine or crackers in my bag or a pouch she know I put in the stroller somewhere. This spring and summmer (and probably autumn too!) we will spend as much time picnicking as possible. Want to join us? We will be eating anywhere we can outside around Berkeley, San Francisco and Oakland! First on the list is the Aquatic Park! ^_^

taking the ferry

On Monday we took the ferry from Jack London Square in Oakland to the Ferry Building in San Francisco. It was just for fun since we had never taken the ferry before. SInce we live near the North Berkeley Bart we took it to Oakland’s 12th Street stop and walked the few blocks to Jack London Square. It was so exciting for me as I have pining to go on a boat lately.

In S.F. we visited the Ferry Building and ate some excellent vegetarian mushroom curry from Delica. I tried the crab croquet and maiki had the potato. Emma had some food we brought from home but really like the curry and rice. maiki tried a donut from Peeples and I had a lemon graham cracker ice cream sandwich from Miette. Of course we had to get some sea salt caramels for later (also from Miette) and we were so glad that we did!
