If I had an etsy shop

If I had an Etsy shop it would look like Professor Tiny’s shop for sure. Small vintage toys, precious little things and pretty dishes to play with. Thank you Professor Tiny for making it happen. There are so many great vintage spots on Etsy. Ethanollie is another gem. I want this item badly

I really want to visit a swap meet now. I know the Alameda one is popular. Judy let’s go!

july and recent photo booth pics

Its the first week of July and I am looking forward to many things! This weekend we are going to Ippuku with friends and Emma is going to hang out with her cousins. Later this month is the Renegade Craft Fair and at the end of the month is my birthday. July is wonderful for many reasons but mostly for sun and strawberries! I am enjoying spending time with Emma outdoors and smelling her Jason sunscreen and seeing little Saltwater sandals on her feet. We have indeed gone on many picnics since spring and Emma is getting used to walking all over sans stroller. She is growing up too fast my little one.

Here are two cute photo booth pictures from our recent sessions. Cannot wait to get in the Magnolia Photo Booth at the fair. ^_^

little farm

This was Emma’s first visit to Little Farm, Tilden Park, Berkeley. We saw rabbits, cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, roosters, pigs and lots of goats! It was actually all of our first visit to Little Farm. Emma has a picture book of farm animals and has been practicing making their sounds. She “moo’ed” at the cows as soon as she saw them!

We visited the Merry-go-round as a family in December and I have been on the steam train and a little bit of hiking too. Tilden Park is such an amazing place and so very close to us in Berkeley. We are looking forward to visiting Lake Anza soon. It looks gorgeous all around.

all better now

For more than two weeks I was flat on my back. This had happened before but never quite as bad, and this time it was in the middle of my spine at the base so I could only lay down. If I stood up my body leaned one way or the other which made it worse. I tried to eat like a normal person but could not sit in a chair and my back hurt so much that standing wasn’t really in the cards either. I laid there trying to drink tea and soup and toast and whatever maiki brought me and try not spill it all over the bed. I cried a lot because it was the most helpless feeling. I thought how I really want to remember how much it sucked so that I could really appreciate my health when I was better and be nicer to my body. I watched What the Bleep Do We Know again, watched all of the Continuum that is out and played a lot of Sudoku. I died a little every time maiki spoke since everything he says is funny and that hurt like hell. maiki had a mountain of work to do but he took great care of Emma and myself and my nieces Maggie and Elizabeth took off work and came over one week to help out too. I slowly got better and could go out and do things as long as someone took care of the heavy lifting that involves my thirty pound, twenty month old baby. Today I lifted Emma for the first time in a while. I missed it. I am thinking I am going to need to do a lot more stretching though, and yoga, and probably sit ups. Here is to good health!
