We finally went to see Claude and the penguins and the fishes at the Cal Academy of Sciences!!!
It is kind of like spring break for our family and later this week we will take a trip to stay by the ocean. Maybe I will see more whales!
On our walk home I actually saw a barn owl that must live around our neighborhood. I have seen it previously when we walked by the garden at night. They have an owl box in the gardens so maybe it hangs out there. I was so happy to end my day by seeing the owl.
On Halloween our family decided to go to the zoo. It was a neat day to visit because they were giving out animal trading cards. At the end of the scavenger hunt type collection of these cards you received a OCHO chocolate bar. Emma had a wonderful time collecting the cards and we all enjoyed the amazing real life animals.
Alligators are my very favorite.
The gondola ride is super fun but also it takes you to a whole new part of the zoo!

She was afraid of a large bull frog jumping at the gardens but this alligator is her long time friend.
