clover will be a ballerina in training
Signed Clover up for a class today. She will attend a ballet class for the next five weeks that is led by the voice of Angelina Ballerina. It sounds like a three-and-a-half-year-old’s dream come true.
visit with family in L.A.
We took a short flight and ate lollies.
Aunt Elayne gave Emma a Frozen puzzle that she did over and over again during our stay.
Elayne made us yummy waffle breakfast. The koala family liked it too. ^_^
We visited Grandma and Grandpa in their new apartment.
Emma thinks Grandpa is quite silly.
We walked around Wilderness Park and saw this snout nosed turtle in the pond.
Emma played with her cousin Brody at the park.
We visited the ocean and felt the cool waves on our feet.
We walked around at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Took photo booth pictures at Urban Outfitters.
Drank smoothies in the sun and watched all the stylish people go by.
Ate strawberry shortcake, and blew out candles just for fun.
We spent lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa.
Emma climbed this rock wall to the top!
Abalone Cove, Palos Verdes
When we visited family in So.Cal last we drove down to Palos Verdes. We parked at Abalone Cove and hiked down to the water where there are tide pools and a beach area. It was a beautiful afternoon and we saw a dolphin swimming nearby in the water. I used to drive to P.V. a lot when I lived there and it was really a neat experience for me to visit with Emma Clover. It was super relaxing walking on the beach, listening the sounds of the ocean and the birds. I saw a dozen pelicans fly in formation over head and thought of the lovely birds we have at home near Lake Merritt. However, nothing beats a visit to the ocean.

We got this Melissa and Doug puzzle at Whole Foods. Its tricky because its so very long and Emma has to look at the picture on the box since she does not yet know the order of the letters of the alphabet. A very good challenge though!
