nice day to scoot
It was a nice day to scoot. The weather was perfect. We like the area around the cathedral because of its well cared for grass, nearby cafes, clean bathrooms and good concrete for Clover to ride her scooter. It is across the street from the lake and is elevated so that one has great views of the area. Here are some pictures that I previously posted of Clover around the cathedral. She is so cute and tiny!

It is the time of year that the Oakland Municipal Band plays in the park. The band stand is in a nice spot in Lakeside park between Children’s Fairyland and the Gardens. Today we set up our picnic near the band and stayed long after they were through. It was a lovely afternoon listening to music and Malcolm Gladwell’s podcast, enjoying our cantaloupe and avocado, sweets and tea, and resting in the grass on a warm sunny afternoon.
