The Gardens at Lake Merritt has great spaces for Em and I too discover and play. We picnic, pick up flowers and pinecones, watch squirrels, find new things and get lost in the foliage. This location is like the Japanese Tea House and Gardens in Golden Gate Park but free and empty and close by. We find ourselves coming back often and bringing friends.
