maiki and I went on a long walk to Solano Ave. today and I was so glad to see that Midnight in Paris was still playing at the Albany Twin. It is a wonderful little theatre where I have watched some of my favorite films: Coco Avant Chanel and The King’s Speech. We decided to make a date of it and had dinner before the movie. We of course loved the film—its so magical. Glad to get out do something fun while we wait for this little (overdue) baby to make her appearance. Now I shall go and dream of beautiful cities and parties with fancy clothes, witty company and alcoholic drinks. ^_^

the king’s speech
I saw the King’s Speech well over a month ago but I loved it so very much that I think I want to see it again, sooner than later. Anyone else want to go??
alice
I went to see Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland with maiki and we both really enjoyed it. I don’t usually read reviews but still managed to hear that folks were not very impressed. I was always a fan of the stories and films but tried to keep an open mind going into the theatre. I thought that this version was very endearing and Mia Wasikowska is my favorite Alice. We squealed when we heard Alan Rickman’s voice and loved Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Of course it was wacky but it is what it is! <3
wes anderson
Found a great resource over at the Rushmore Academy. They mentioned that Wes Anderson did an interview with Charlie Rose a few days ago so I had to watch it. Also finally made it over to the theatre to see Fantastic Mr. Fox. maiki and I made a date out of it and had movie + dinner + movie night in SF.

Audrey Tautou is such a beautiful and classy lady. I am looking forward to seeing her in Coco Before Chanel.
