Memorial day we went to the beach all together and even found parking at El Porto. It was a little sunny and a little overcast. We watched for dolphins in the water farther out and Emma made friends near by to dig in the sand with and some to teach her to do flips. I sat and stared at the rolling waves trying to remember to be present and take it all in.

We visited the beach in Alameda Tuesday morning with friends knowing that there would be low tide. Emma enjoyed walking around and exploring the muddy shore and digging. We then got to watch the tides roll in, and as you can see in this picture they were coming in two different directions. It was so calming to watch the patterns in the water.
Enjoying lovely weather in Oakland but last Saturday we were at the beach. 🙂
