Today I bought some fun design related stuff when I was in SF. First The Small Stakes book, a collection of works by Jason Munn. His work is so inspiring to me and I have always admired the simplicity in his designs. Second are my new addiction: Happy Socks! I found them at Azalea and have purchased several pairs so far. Also a fun postcard made by Three Fish Studios of their 39 Mile Drive sign artwork. It is red and green and hanging up in my cottage already. ^_^
I really enjoy fun colored socks. Happy socks are tempting me to purchase lots of socks from them because they seem like a good company and that means a lot to me. I have had a hard time as of late purchasing underthings because that requires me going to a real store (not second hand) and finding goods that are well made. It hasn’t been easy. Most of my socks are from the Gap and I don’t shop there anymore. All the other places that I have been to the socks seem boring or poorly constructed or both. I think that I am going to try to buy socks online and test my luck.
