Sol LeWitt and Emma Clover
Sol LeWitt murals at the SF MOMA. I love sharing art work with Clover that seems accessible. Something that she could even do herself. Looking at the work one piece at the a time we see shapes, colors, lines, space.
We like cake.
We like cake. Wayne Thiebaud at the SF MOMA. Clover really liked seeing his work at the Oakland Museum so this is the first painting I wanted to show her on our visit. I love how even his paintings of city streets look as thick as frosting.
on a tour with my bff’s
When visiting the newly opened SF MoMA I bought a membership and received free for the afternoon the mobile audio tours and museum navigation. It is responsive to your location and will pop up audio descriptions of artists or featured works to learn more about a piece. It was really fun to use but the best part was a modern art tour given by Martin Starr and Kumail Nanjiani. I was cracking up through out the whole experience. Any fan of the two actor/comedians from Silicon Valley will thoroughly enjoy their commentary and in turn will learn a lot about modern artists! I strongly recommend it!
