We walked to Jack London Square to visit the Sunday Farmers Market that is held there. It was a fun adventure although quite brisk. The weather was cold and windy and sunny all at the same time. We bought out usual bag of greens from Happy Boy Farms and a bag of persimmons. We shared a scone and I warmed up with a coffee from the vendors. We stayed quite a while—since it did take us about thirty minutes to get there. Emma enjoyed walking around and discovering leaves and pointing to the water. I am always impressed by the hugeness of the ships in the Oakland harbor and am a big fan of the cranes (that look like steel giraffes or an AT walker). We wandered near the ferry terminal and promised to return on another day when we were perhaps more prepared. I probably won’t return for the Farmers Market there since we go to the Lake Merritt market on Saturdays but it was fun while it lasted!
